Our group develops computational methods for problems at the interface of molecular biology and evolution. Our major biological focus is to understand the function and evolution of small regulatory RNAs such as microRNAs and Piwi-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) in animals. We also have several close collaborations with experimental groups to validate our computational predictions in the lab.
