My lab focuses on studying genomic variation within and between populations through the lens of evolution. This means that we are alternately interested in using evolutionary signals in genetic variation to find functional elements in genomes as well as understanding the forces that create and maintain genetic variation. To these ends we rely on computational and statistical approaches to glean information from large, genomic sequence data sets.
