“Divergent/convergent pluripotency regulatory programs”

I will share our insights into how the pluripotency regulatory program has been rewired in the allotetraploid Xenopus laevis. Following ancestral hybridization of two diploid frogs, the X. laevis lineage acquired two copies of most genes, which we find have evolved differential transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation in the early embryo.
