“A new outlook on the mammalian mitosis-to-meiosis transition”

To produce haploid gametes, mitotic germ cells must enter and progress through the specialized meiotic program. The mechanisms driving meiotic entry are poorly understood in higher eukaryotes, especially mammals. This seminar will cover recent advances from the Geyer lab, which works to define novel mechanisms regulating the mammalian mitosis-to-meiosis transition.
